I beliveve the Mpemba Effect hasn't really been proven and only occers in specific situations. Regardless boiling the water helps the process of freezing water top down.

This is by far the most thorough article on ice freezing that I've read today. Counterintuitively, boiling water (212F) will freeze faster than room temperature water. This phenomenon is known as the Mpemba Effect.

This kind of thing doesn't really bother me... I normally download my email and backup anything important. Gmail is a free service and occasionally things don't go to plan.

I am not an avid user of the gmail account... I just use it sparingly for referring adsense...
Getting hacked is something you just cannot avoid as no system is safe, but the host losing the data is really alarming....thanks for the info...

That's a good question concerning the USPS. I wonder however if we will see more users start to use mail clients that automatically download your emails for you now that Google has had more than one screw up.

I think something like this is an inevitable risk of using the technology. Not to mention, G-mail is a free service. If it were a paid service... most likely backups of the accounts would always be created, and if they lost the data, it would be on their hands. I wonder how much mail the USPS looses annually?
